Sunday 19th Feb - Captains Farewell

Finally the Captains Farewell competetition was held after snow stopped play 2 weeks ago.

Some fine weather albeit a little cold and a great turnout to say a fond farewell to Sue and John.

My dream team of Paul, Ian and Mike had a great front 9 - coming in with 4 birdies on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th and 9th but not a great back 9.

Congratulations to the then Mr Vice Captain Colin and his team, worthy winners.

Friday 3rd Feb - Ladies Farewell Dinner

Fine food, an abundance of wine, great company and entertainment provided by the Ladies themselves. 

A fitting way to say a fond farewell to Lady Captain Sue.

Saturday 29th January - Ladies Winter Greensome

Some great teams, a drawn competition for a change and many thanks to my playing partner Desley. 

We had a great time with a formidable pairing of Glen W and Lady Vice Elect Becky S.

Some great scores in with the winners on a magnificent 49 stableford points to claim first prize. (Yes, it was temporary greens.)

Monday 16th January - Lady Captains Challenge

 Congratulations to Lady Captain Sue, with  Donna, Nat and Kate for completing the Lady Captains Challenge.

A great team effort with the first leg (swimming) by Sue and Nat, followed by the Donna (seen here on the left and below)

18 holes today on temporary greens due to the severe frost overnight and this morning.

Haven't played for about a month so it was about time I dusted off the clubs and started to get some practice in, ready for the new gofing season in a few months time.
